Writing Books
If you’re a business professional and you’re ready to try something new, think about writing a business book. Writing a book about your expertise in a specific industry or even business in general is an excellent way to expand your business and branch out into speaking and consulting. It lets you try something new, but you don’t have to completely abandon the field you’re in.
The Booming How-To Market
How-to books are very popular—there’s always one or two on the bestseller list—and many people like reading books to learn more about their own industry, learn about industries that are new to them, find ways to advance their careers, and figure out how to deal with difficult business situations, like having a boss or a co-worker that they don’t get along with. Some people read nothing but how-to and self-help books. With thousands of topics to write about and a growing interest in self-improvement, your possibilities are endless!
Modern Printing Technology Makes Publishing Easy
In the past, publishing your own business book was expensive and time consuming because getting book ready to print and finding a reliable, inexpensive printer required lots of research and work. Plus, self-publishers had to guess how many copies they were going to need.
But these days you can offer print-on-demand copies of your book, which means the book isn’t printed until someone buys it. Or you can offer your business book in a downloadable PDF format so that printing costs are avoided altogether and people can start reading your book immediately after buying it.
Get Industry-Specific
If you have years of experience in one particular industry, then you can write a business book that describes the steps that you took to be successful in that industry and the mistakes you learned from along the way. You can help people who are just starting out to overcome the learning curve, and learn how to follow your steps themselves so that they can achieve the same kind of success that you did.
Plus, many companies looking for ways to save money use well-written industry-specific business books as training materials. You could even offer to customize certain parts of your business book to meet the specific needs of a company if they buy a set number of books.
Writing a Book is Easier Than You Think
The writing task is often overwhelming to people, but you can start small. Books don’t have to be extremely long to be popular. You can write a short, fifty- to 100-page e-book about some aspect of business that you have a lot of experience in and test the market by selling it directly on the web. You can also use an e-book format to write business books for specific businesses, like training manuals or other how-to books or guides.
What Are You Waiting For?
Writing a book not only allows you to try something new, but if you are creative in how you write the book and how you market the book, the venture can be very profitable. If you’re ready to move on and try a different career but you don’t want to start over in a new industry, take the experience and credentials that you have and try writing about that industry instead of just participating in it. You will get a chance to branch out, do something different, and still use all the years of experience that you have built up.

Article Writer
I sure have been having lots of fun and enjoying writing tons of articles for other people, for them to use for the purposes of article marketing! There are many people who have their own websites, who have paid me to write regular articles for them. These folks then post these articles, using their own names as the authors, on article directory websites such as www.ArticlesBase.com and then when people see those articles, some of them click on the link and visit the website of the person who posted the article. It is a way to get traffic, and eventually business to your website! That is just the beginning!
Sometimes, when people see the article and like it, they decide to post the article marketing piece on their own website or blog, and then this gives even more exposure to the person who posted it in the first place! So, that’s also good news because you are reaching many more people. You can actually read one of my many articles on articlesbase.com (My name is Father Time) and then you can pick any article, and type the title only into Google, and you will see how a few other people have posted my article on their blog or website! This is proof that the article marketing works!
So, as I was saying; the search engines such as Google and the others will begin noticing more and more…the websites that have many articles written about them and getting posted around the internet. This increasing prominence on the internet will cause the website in question to move up in the Search Engine Rankings…This aspect of Article Marketing is called Search Engine Optimization!
Just for kicks…please go to the Google box and type in Girlie Girl Self Defense…
You will see me almost on the whole first page that pops up. A few of my websites or blogs, plus some articles that I have posted or that other people re-posted!
That, my friends, is article marketing, and that’s what I have been busy with! If you need a good article writer…please let me know. You can click here to see my website for more details! Better hurry because as I get busier, I may have to eventually raise my low and reasonable rates!
Many Blessings!

Writing Skills
Okay, it is true you cannot become a renowned article writer overnight. It is true, but with practice and a little help you can become an excellent writer sooner than you think. You might have just started writing articles or are new to Article Marketing…no matter. With these 5 tips, you can be well on your way to becoming an article writing genius.
1. Research, research. One of the fastest ways to get your article read is to find out what other authors are writing about. If others are writing about a subject, then it is a good chance people are reading about that subject. If you only focus on your own ideas for subjects, you may miss the mark.
Another great place to discover subjects to write about is TV. Watch the news, talk and entertainment shows to see what is hot. If these shows are talking about certain subjects, then people are interested and listening. You may be able to use good or bad news to your advantage in your articles.
2. Be consistent. Writing is like sports. As with most sports, it takes practice to really get good. The more you play golf the better you usually get. It is the same with writing articles. Yes, you will make mistakes in the beginning and the articles may not be all that entertaining to read, but over time, you will get better.
As for writing and making mistakes, learn from those mistakes. The mistakes you make early in your writing career will only make you a better writer later on. The best writers are the ones that come through the school of hard knocks with the most bruises but with a wealth of knowledge and writing skills. So, when in doubt, just write more.
3. Start at the start. This is usually where new article writers get confused. They worry too much about the content, the research and everything else that goes into the article before they even start. It is best to start at the start and worry about the rest as you go. The first place to start is with the title. Try to think of a good working title to kick-start your article. Once you have a hot working title, then the content is easier to create.
4. Make it readable. This one may seem overly simple, but a majority of the articles online today are filled with grammatical errors. It seems that many have never been proofread at all. It is true that article writing is not like writing a textbook or a technical manual.
You can have fun writing an article and can get away with looser language and punctuation. Even though this is true, you should still strive to make your article as error-free as possible. It is better to get someone else to read over your articles to make sure there are no mistakes you overlooked.
5. The flow. Make sure your article is fun to read and has a smooth flow to it. If you are including keywords for search engine optimization, make sure that the article is still readable. One problem that presents itself is when you are overly concerned with keyword density, then the article becomes hard to read and boring. It is okay to include keywords and be concerned with keyword density, but make sure you keep the article interesting and readable. Making a smooth, flowing article will make your readers want more and willing to come back to read other articles you write in the future.
